MUSCOLESCELETAL AND CONNECTIVE TISSUE DISEASES

REUMATOIDE ARTHRITIS
It is a chronic joints inflammation. In rheumatoid inflammation, joint cartilage and underlying bone is proliferated and eroded. The disease is most common in young women than in men. Appears in joints symmetrically but more frequent localization involve metatarsal phalanges leg joints, the metacarpal hand phalanges without excluding other joint involvement. It autoimmune chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by destruction of exocrine glands. These patients suffer from dry eyes, decreased tear production and photosensitivity. The treatment of this disease is to alleviate the complications of dry eyes and dry mouth. For dry eye are artificial tears. OSTEOARTHRITIS

It is a degenerative musculoskeletal disease. After the age of 60 years over 60% of the population has osteoarthritis in some joints. The joints most commonly affected are the hips, knees, spine, wrist, elbow and shoulder. The most common symptom is progressively increasing pain. At first the pain is mild and intermittent, but later becomes constant and disabling. The pain almost always improves with rest and worsens with movement. Many times there is stiffness, limitation of joint movement and nocturnal pain. Frequent are also influenced by the grinding of joints with or without pain. Joint limitation is the worst complication of the disease. Therapy recommended rest, and pharmacologically chemical drugs such as aspirin, non steroidal anti-inflammatory corticosteroids.
