HEADACHE

1) vascular reasoning

2) Headaches tension

3) Headaches of intracranial damages

4) Extra cranial disorders

5) Cranial neuralgia

* HEADACHE VASCULAR REASONING

Clinical syndrome of unknown origin, where in the final stage of the disease,  distension and irritation occurs in one or more branches of the carotid (artery) and final termination of the nerve supplying this artery. Most headaches lasting several hours get better with rest and quiet in a dark room, taking mild analgesics such as aspirin. Occasionally they can be most powerful analgesics such as codeine, but which should be avoided because of side effects.
Migraine is characterized by recurring severe headaches that often start with one-sided and come with nausea, vomiting and photophobia. This disorder usually begins in childhood and affects women more than men. An aura may precede the headache called classic migraine. If not, common migraine is called.
In classic migraine, neurological symptoms are visual and consist of intense bright light, like a glimpse starting from the center of the homonymous visual field and spread to the region for 10 to 30 minutes.
Clusters headaches are short, very serious unilateral crisis which take place several times a day, lasting several weeks, and disappear for months or years before reappear.

HEADACHE OF TENSION

Tension headaches are characterized by stable non-resonant unilateral or bilateral pain usually starts from the occipital and ends in the frontal or temporal skull region. In this headaches type pain is constant and lasts for days, weeks or months. It is more common in women and in people who are tense, anxious and those that work requires contraction of cranial muscles (occipital, frontal and temporal). However, there is overlap between the symptoms of common migraine and tension headaches. Many patients suffer from both.

* HEADACHE OF INTRACRANIAL INJURY

In acute and sub acute meningitis, headache is impulsive and very serious. It starts instantly, rising to the top gradually with time fully developed and combined with a stiff neck. In subarachnoid bleeding the initial headache is caused by sudden changes in intracranial pressure. After the immediate headache, follow chronic persistent headache, accompanied by a gradual increase of cervical stiffness. The intracranial hypertension causes headaches when the vascular and nervous structures are compressed by tumors.

* EXTRA CRANIAL HEADACHES

Possible causes of these headaches are: sinuses inflammation,
toothache, ear pain, eye pain by cervical osteoarthritis

* CRANIAL HEADACHES

· Trigeminal neuralgia

· Glossopharyngeal neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia characterized by a sudden paroxysm of pain in the distribution of the trigeminal nerve. Pain sensation is like a knife and takes no more than a few seconds. Usually pain resolves itself and does not take place at night. Chemical drug to prevent pain is carbamezepine which of course the calming effect is not permanent.

The glosofaryngeal neuralgia is characterized by a similar pain in the distribution of nerve similar to trigeminal neuralgia. Carbamazepine is also used during the acute phase of pain without the possibility of permanent recovery here.

The headache regardless of etiology and classification causes a disability to the sufferer who during the crisis fails to work, to consider the needs of his family and unable even to meet their personal needs. The chemical drugs cause a mild relief, if you anticipate that patients take them before crisis, and are not of course able to heal permanently. The chemical treatment is what we call <comforting>.

Homeopathy offers a full headache restoration, means permanent cure of whatever type of migraine. Homeopathy decrease both intensity and duration of pain. Some days post swallow homeopathy remedies; headache becomes more intense, called homeopathy deterioration phase. Once, this phase get over, improvement begins. During treatment relapses of very low headache intensity may occur, which will be triggered by factors over which the organism is sensitive such as temperature, humidity, emotional stress, alcohol, chemical drugs … Most important fact is that over time, these flares will become less and less until headache becomes an old memory.

ATTENUATION HEARING

Symptoms of hearing impairment are 2 kinds. The first is sounds intensity reduction and the second is the perception of sounds not coming from the external environment.

The conductive hearing loss (sounds transmitted by the auditory canal to the middle and outer ear) is characterized by an equivalent hearing loss at all frequencies with good speech discrimination when increasing the intensity of voice. There is a feeling like, ear was blocking. Bone conduction predominates from air conductivity. When there is sensory hearing loss, it is difficult for the patient to distinguish between speeches to many other sounds. When there is a central hearing loss, like damage to brain centers of hearing, the patient perceives the audible tone and loses his speech. Then the patient hears sounds but not understand their meaning.

The conductive hearing loss results from abnormalities in the outer and middle ear. The most frequent abnormality is obstruction of the external auditory canal, which is unable to transmit sounds to the drum. Often this happens from inflammation in the ear canal (external and media otitis). If the canal is open, then the next possibility is otosclerosis, that is decalcification around the latest handset ossicle, the stapes (in the middle ear there are 3 ossicles : the hammer, the incus and stapes). The concept sounds not coming from the external environment starts from the early stages of this process. Acute unilateral hearing loss is the base of the inner ear that the cochlea (it's a screw-shaped organ whose role is to transmit the auditory stimuli from the middle ear to the auditory nerve). Infections by bacteria or viruses causing injury and bleeding in the cochlea, or even blockages in brain arteries which in turn cause damage to the cochlea of the inner ear. Acute unilateral hearing loss is usually accompanied by vertigo and the perception of sounds bogus. The chemical drugs, such as salicylates, furosemide, the ethacrinike acid cause aggravation of hearing and intense perception of sounds bogus. In large doses, cause a temporary and permanent deafness. The amino glycoside is an antibiotic that destroys cells in the cochlea and cause permanent hearing loss. Some anticancer drugs especially platinum cause intense ototoxicity. Cochlear deafness is a complication with Meniere's syndrome presenting with hearing loss, nonexistent sounds, dizziness and feeling of pressure in the ear.

The best treatment for hearing problems is prevention. You must turn away early from harmful sounds and chemical drugs. Regarding otosclerosis (which is often unavoidable in advanced age) is indicated for surgery. Certainly, such intervention side effects are significant and lasting.

Homeopathy understands that for impaired hearing, must first remove the cause, but especially avoid ototoxic chemical drugs. What happens if someone is forced to tolerate due to his practice powerful sounds? Or what if at least have been tolerated for a long time such a situation? What happens with adults who often complain of tinnitus or sounds that do not exist in the external environment? Homeopathy can treat these cases fully, if anatomic lesions are not established. Homeopathy should be started when ear infections are repeated and not when an adult otosclerosis is installed. When of course, patients discover homeopathy as usually happens when the disease is established; homeopathy again reduces tinnitus and improves hearing. For patients who choose surgery, homeopathy balances both the effects of surgery and patients symptoms throughout immune system strengthening. But we must know that the sooner we visit homeopathy doctor, the faster we avoid complications of impaired hearing later.

* DIZZINESS and VERTIGO

Vertigo is an illusion that we are moving in space. This is a different stimulation of the cochlea to the other organs and especially to the eyes. Due to the influence of the nervous system from the cochlea, vertigo is accompanied by nausea and vomiting. But many patients are unable to distinguish vertigo from light headache and dizziness. Thus, vertigo may be normal or abnormal condition. Normal vertigo occurs when there is a discrepancy between cochlea, visual and sensitive stimuli. Common examples include vertigo during movement, a sense of vertigo that we get when we look from above downwards, and the visual vertigo that happens when we see a moving picture.

Pathological vertigo results from a disorder of cochlear system or less often from a visual disturbance. Cochlear vertigo caused by a peripheral or a central disorder. The peripheral vertigo is more intense and combined with hearing loss, tinnitus, and nausea and vomiting. The central vertigo is less severe and is associated with diseases of the central nervous system. Theoretically, the treatment of pathological vertigo is only treating of the underlying disease. But sometimes, despite treatment of underlying disease vertigo remains.

Homeopathy treats vertigo fully in its extension. The symptoms often reported in homeopathy doctor is feeling vertigo when the patient turns his head left or right, or when looking up, or even when bent. Each one of these signs refers to a different homeopathic remedy, and the patient is getting redeemed from this unpleasant feeling permanently and definitively regardless the cause.

* MEMORY DISORDERS

These disorders include defects of past memory and are unable to create a new memory of the outcome of events. The memory is divided into immediate, intermediate and past.

Immediate memory is composed of the containment material in mind we have just heard or read without any special procedure being separated storage.

The intermediate memory covers the time it starts a few minutes before until 24 to 48 hours.

The past memory goes back in time in our childhood.

Adults memory disorders relating recent events identifying words and functions that occurred before the age of 14 years. Stored in memory events arising from the perception of the external world and internal considerations, there are at least three components: perception, recording, storage and retrieval. The storage of perceived events distributed in temporal lobe which are the areas of speech perception. The formation and retrieval of data memory require the integrity of the hippocampus and thalamus (areas in the center of the brain) bilateral lesion or surgical removal of the hippocampus causes a permanent deficit in the intermediate memory affecting the spheres of speech, vision and space. Many middle-aged and aged people have difficulty to recall names and recent events of minor importance.

Transient amnesia is a condition that lasts from several minutes up to 12 hours and often characterized by confusion. These people are disoriented in space and time. This middle-aged or aged people are affected areas of the hippocampus and thalamus. In psychogenic impairment, memory of past events recalled better than recently.

In these cases of memory loss homeopathy can improve the intellectual level of these people. In very serious cases such as dementia, memory improvement offered by homeopathy is remarkable. While before homeopathy those people does not recognize their own people, start to become more cooperative and make more rational thoughts. Regarding people who, too easily forget what happened in the past, with homeopathy they become more structured and more tactics in their thinking.

* EMOTIONAL DISORDERS

This category includes disorders characterized by aberration of disposal as joy (extreme pleasure) or sadness. These disorders ranging from recurrent manic or depressive mood, or both (bipolar disorder) with recurrent episodes of acute relapses restored themselves after weeks or months. The important thing is that between episodes patients behave normally.

Depression is the most common disorder of emotion. Depression is a feeling of sadness and misery accompanied by a low estimate of his own self, ranging from feelings of inadequacy and inability to complete the illusion that is malicious and is responsible for many of the evils of the world. The diagnosis of depression can be difficult, but it is extremely important because neglect can lead to suicide. These patients complaining of physical symptoms such as loss of weight and looking so sick, that the doctor is driven to other causes of illness such as cancer, rather than think about depression. The early morning awakening, anorexia, early-onset headaches unaccompanied by organic lesion undermines depression. Symptoms of depression improved (never treated) with antidepressants.

Mania in contrast to depression is the joy, the glory and the constant restless activity. The alternating episodes of mania and depression, is called bipolar disorder. In the early stages of mania, the patient can be very productive. During the course of the disease the patient is deteriorating, that is easily distracted, pompous, causing distrust and often socially recognized as <mad>. Patients with intense mania may stay for days without sleep while deny that they are tired. The mood may change suddenly in anger and violence with little or no provocation. Extreme confidence together with mania confirms the diagnosis. The treatment of mania is difficult because patients feel well and do not consider how to take medication. The chemical drugs used in this case are fenothiazines, butyrophenones and lithium. The side effects are causing confusion, disorientation, and tremor.

Homeopathy heals completely and permanently emotional disorders such as depression and bipolar disorders. After taking the homeopathic remedy a depressed patient, the first construction that relaxes is the nervous system. That is, the patient begins to sleep better and longer. In the second phase the patient develops social relationships with others that no longer reserved, wishes of friends, especially begins to discuss his personal problems. Also changes the metabolism of these individuals. Thereby, whereas patient could be felt cold, with homeopathy is not bothered by the cold anymore. In emotionally charged situations of those serious and sullen people post homeopathy, they become to cry. Homeopathy changes are amazing.

(HERNIATED DISCS) CHRONIC COMPRESSED NEURITIS

The intervertebral disc is a cartilaginous structure like layers of an onion, which aims to protect the vertebrae by mechanical stresses. When the cartilaginous disc begins to protrude abnormally, it compresses the nerve roots leaving the spinal cord of the spinal column. Occasionally the spinal cord is compressed, in cervical and thoracic vertebrae. The specific signs and symptoms of the prominent disk depend on whether compressing the spinal column or nerve root and to which level of the nerve construction is the compression. The most common symptom of prominent disc is the pain. The local pain is a slack neck or back pain associated with stiffness often occurs after injury. The characteristic pain increases with motor activity and decreases with rest. Coughing and sneezing increase the pain sharply. If the pain extends to the limbs bilaterally, then there is great suspicion of the disc hernia. Treatment of hernia is first of all rest. If, after resting the pain does not subside, then orthopedic surgery is suggested.

Both homeopathy and acupuncture offer pain relief from compressed herniated intervertebral disc, but also from muscle disorders. Most of the time in 90% of cases pain is not caused by the protruding disc, but by the narrow interval between vertebrae, which in turn is caused by muscle spasm. In some parts of the neck, back and waist also our muscle system is too irritated, creating hardening as strings which the patient knows and fumble easily. This sclerosis is often responsible for the inability we have to turn our head left or right, or lift the arm or leg. In conclusion, if the diagnosis of herniated intervertebral disc is made, provided acupuncture muscles stimulation connecting two adjacent vertebrae, can cause muscle relaxation and hence increased space in the intervertebral space. Then miraculously the horrible pain disappears and patient rescue a difficult operation with a lot of negative consequences. If pain is ought to muscular hardening, then acupuncture or injection of saline in hardening points relaxes the muscles and patient is allowed to make movements that may be shunned for years. Doctor led to the discovery of these points from the distribution of pain in the human body.

* CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME

This syndrome is characterized by compression of the median nerve in the course to the wrist. The most common symptoms include numbness, tingling, burning sensation in one or both palms and fingers (thumb, index, middle and ring finger). Pain is the predominant symptom mainly at night and sleep often interrupted. The pain is more intense in the wrist with a reflection on the arm and shoulder. The pain usually improves shaking fingers. The important thing is that apart from the pain in most patients, nerve is not damaged. This syndrome is more common in obese middle-aged women. Suffer most those who are working with their hands and wrists as the gardeners, the painters and scribes.

And in this case both homeopathy and acupuncture relax the muscles and reduce discomfort of pain. For patients who decide surgery, you should know that despite the opening of the carpal canal, pain is not improving and always follow bad relapses. Homeopathy undertakes to restore postoperative recurrences of carpal syndrome as well...

* MYASTHENIA

It is an autoimmune disease caused by antibodies that destroy acetylcholine receptors. The disorder is combined with other diseases such as autoimmune systemic lupus erythematosus and hyperthyroidism. Also myasthenia is accompanied by muscles and internal organs lymphocytes concentration and an increased incidence of non-specific antibodies and anti-thyroid antibodies. Myasthenia gravis may begin at any time of life even in newborns. It is more common in women than in men. Clinically the disease is characterized by weakness and easy fatigue. The weakness begins in the muscles around the eye with a drop lid. The symptoms become more pronounced toward the end of the day after elevated motor activity. But closing your eyes and relax, the symptoms disappear. At the same time can be involved limbs muscles and respiratory system. For the treatment anti-cholinergic drugs such as neostigmine are used. When the doses of the drug increased, weakness and cramps are caused. Because thymus is the main cause of antibody production, thymectomy improves the symptoms of myasthenia gravis in 85% of cases. Also used steroids and immunosuppressant.

Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease where with homeopathy a good prognosis is accomplished. While corticosteroids and immunosuppressive drugs suppress the immune system, which means that the disease worsen on time, with homeopathy the immune system strengthens, that means that the disease improves.

PARKINSON'S DISEASE *

It is a syndrome characterized by slow movement, increased muscle tone (stiffness), tremor and weakened reflexes. The pathogenesis of this disease is associated with the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons. It is more common in men over 40 years. These patients have a typical appearance with the body leaning forward, arms sticking to the sides; bend your elbows and hands tremble. The speech is false, monotonous and unclean. In the chemical treatment used levodopa, carvidopa, anticholinergics and antipsychotic. The side effects are restlessness, and immobility.

Homeopathy certainly can not offer complete cure in this serious neurological disorder. But homeopathy may keep the disease stable without side effects like restlessness, and immobility. According to ayurveda this disease belongs to the disorder vata. Along with homeopathic medicines such patients can get nutritional advice and herbal medications that will reduce even more exaggerated limbs movements.

* ANXIETY DISORDERS

Anxiety is an unpleasant mood of tension and fear of the future. Fear is not specific but wanders diffusely. Stress is accompanied by symptoms of autonomic nervous system such as tachycardia, sweating, dry mouth, and hyperventilation of the lungs. In predisposed individuals the perception of changes in the autonomic nervous system and especially tachycardia increase even more stress. Clinical anxiety includes 1) phobias ranging from simple phobias of certain objects and agoraphobia, fear of being left alone or be found in a public place. 2) Panic attacks with intense fear and feelings of imminent death.

Pharmacological treatment is initiated by simply anxiolytics such as benzodiazepines and antidepressants.

However, the outcome of homeopathy is so amazing for anxiety as for phobias and panic. Patients feel free from their fears and enjoy life like everyone else. Relax from their panic and agoraphobia and they can calmly face life.

* SLEEP AND ITS DISORDERS (DISORDERS AWARENESS)

Sleep is a rhythmically repetitive situation, is controlled by independent mechanisms in the brain. Sleep varies from person to person. Some people are happy with 4-5 hours of sleep while others are unable to operate with less than 9-10 hours. Mild exercise reduces latency to fall asleep and increases the depth and length of sleep. Stress, concepts, sorrow, drugs such as caffeine and physical situations such as cardiopulmonary diseases, all contribute to the difficult process of sleep. Older people usually enjoy sleeping with less satisfaction than the younger. Some complaints include insomnia, increased latency before fall asleep while others awaken during the night and others early in the morning. But usually the period of sleep is more than the people believe that slept. But the severe reduction in sleep duration to less than 3-4 hours causes a decrease in intellectual capacity. When insomnia is easily cured recent attempt to solve the psychological problems encountered. Chronic insomnia is more difficult to treat. The chemical drugs used in disorders of sleep are the benzodiazepines, diazepam and antidepressants but they are addictive minimizing sleeps quality. That means that the patient wakes up tired.

The therapeutic goal of homeopathy is not only to relax the nervous system, so that the suffering from insomnia to sleep more hours, but to improve the quality of sleep. That space small or large sleeping fills him with joy and wellbeing. In short to wake up rested, full of fun and fills his day with activities. During the homeopathic history is very important the cause of this disorder. The confrontation would be different if insomnia came from grief (loss of a loved person) if another caused by excessive anxiety and distress (anxiety if they can pay the installment of loan) and another by the exhausted body (as with the students before exams) In any case, the body needs time to restore the lost balance.

* STROKES

The cerebrovascular disorders include blood vessels perturbations which cause damage to the central nervous system. The cause of the stroke is either anoxic, failure of the vascular system to provide the necessary oxygen to the brain or bleeding that is filtered from the blood vessel in the brain tissue. The Strokes usually affect people over the age of 55. The frequent use of alcohol, smoking and contraceptives (hormonal preparations) increases the risk of stroke. Around 10% of patients with acute stroke die during hospitalization. Among the survivors 40% restored fully. The severity of the episode revealed the first two weeks on whether or not the cognitive and motor difficulties remained.
Homeopathy restores strokes along with rehabilitation physiotherapy exercises.
